Smith Transport Announces Driver of the Year 2004

February, 2005 -- Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania-based Smith Transport, Inc., selected 16-year trucking veteran, Greg Puryear as the company's Driver of the Year for 2004. Puryear, who arrived at Smith in 2002, was a standout last year with his exceptional professionalism, performance and safety record. “As far as we’re concerned, Greg represents the best of the best within our fleet,” says Travis Smith, vice president of operations.

As Driver of the Year, Puryear receives $1500.00 in cash, a commemorative leather jacket, a variety of gift certificates, tickets to professional sporting events and his choice of a 2005 Freightliner or Peterbilt enhanced with chrome and his name emblazoned on the side.

Puryear resides in Milwaukee with his five children: Jasmine, Jennifer, Greg Jr., Ashli and Nakayla.
