Toledo, Ohio --- Bolt Express recently received the award for Carrier of the Year for Highest Revenue Growth in 2005 over 2004.
Bolt was
recognized at the 3rd Annual Expedite Alliance Conference held by
GPSNet Technologies, Inc. in Las Vegas in January for their 42
percent growth in revenue last year. Ben Bauman, general manager of
Bolt Express, says this accomplishment is a result of several
things. “Not only did we add six sales representatives and
one sales manager to our staff, but our truck count also went up by
32 percent during the past year.” He says “this has
allowed us to expand our business tremendously.”
In addition to this award, Bolt Express was also named 5th runner up for Company of the Year for On-Time Performance, and was a small company Honorable Mention. According to Stuart Sutton, president of GPSNet Technologies, “these companies don’t have many trucks, but still managed to gain the respect of the AlliancePro companies and received quite a few brokered loads during 2005.”
The Expedite Alliance is made up of 170 companies in the
transportation industry, primarily of expedite carriers. Bauman
refers to this as a “super alliance that ties carriers
together and breaks down the walls of competition.” The
majority of the carriers in this alliance are using GPS
Technologies software.
Bolt Express provides a 24-hour, seven days a week, dock-to-dock,
exclusive use transportation service for rush-critical shipments
throughout the 48 states and Ontario, Canada.
