Little Rock, Ark. (February 16, 2006) -- By keeping the 50+
drivers in her fleet happy, Continental Express Inc. (CEI) Driver
Manager Traci Hasson got something to smile about for herself.
Hasson was the winner of CEI’s driver retention contest for
managers that ran during fourth quarter 2005.
The contest stipulated that any driver who left, including
terminations, counted as a loss to the manager’s board.
Losing just five drivers, Hasson was awarded a 55 inch Philips
high-definition projection television.
“I was very excited to win the contest,” says Hasson,
who joined CEI last summer. “It’s very important to me
to do what I can to help the drivers. You have to listen, have to
take the time to care about what they’re going through. If
the wheels aren’t turning, then nobody’s
earning.”
Continental Express credits Hasson for her enthusiasm, dedication
and respect for her fleet of drivers. According to Hasson, most
drivers just want support. “They’re working hard,
they’re tired, they’re missing home – they want
to know someone cares about them. Continental Express takes that
very seriously. Retention is extremely important to us. I love
being a driver manager because I like troubleshooting and helping
people solve problems. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
because I love the transportation industry and I love
Continental.”
Continental Express was founded two decades ago as a small
truckload carrier with only 25 trucks. Today, the company is a
premier coast-to-coast truckload, truck/rail, and logistics
transportation company with over 500 trucks and more than 1,200 dry
van trailers. Headquartered in Little Rock, Ark., Continental

the nation from California to Georgia.
