(Pittston, PA) March 1, 2004 -- The employees and professional drivers of TRL, a premier truckload carrier of dry and temperature-controlled freight, worked together to make a positive impact during the 2003 holiday season as part of the Toys for Tots program.
“So many generous employees took the time to select a gift to donate to a young child,” says Lisa Rohland, Director of Recruiting for TRL. “Many even made a special trip to Walmart just to be able to support this wonderful cause.”
Founded in 1978 in Pittston, TRL
focuses attention on meeting the needs of its drivers and owner operators while
keeping its family atmosphere. “We place a great deal of
emphasis on families and home time and whenever possible we like to
extend that care and attention to others through programs like Toys
for Tots.”
Sponsored by The Marine Corps, Toys for Tots collects new toys for
children who may otherwise not receive gifts at the holidays.
“The Marine Corp believes ‘Every Child deserves a
Little Christmas’ and we are grateful to work with the type
of people here at TRL
that do what it takes to make that happen,” says
Rohland. “We’ll certainly support the program
again in 2004.”
