CFI is factory-equipping all of its new trucks with XM Satellite Radio receivers. All CFI drivers will receive XM subscriptions, whether they drive a new truck with an XM receiver or they own a plug-and-play XM radio for an earlier-model vehicle.

XM offers more than 150 digital radio channels, including the 24-hour truckers’ channel Open Road, featuring legendary trucker DJs Bill Mack, the “Truckin’ Bozo” Larry Sommers, Dave Nemo, and Steve Saunders. XM also provides commercial-free music, 24-hour traffic and weather channels for 21 major metropolitan areas, professional and college sports, talk radio, and many other choices.

The XM service is available coast to coast throughout the 48 contiguous states. Vehicle manufacturers are factory-installing XM radios in a broad range of trucks and cars. XM also offers satellite radio receivers for the vehicle, the home, and portable use.

“XM is pleased to be teaming with CFI to provide all of its drivers with XM’s award-winning programming from border to border, coast to coast,” said Gloria Clements, National Manager of Fleets, XM Satellite Radio, in Nashville.

Bruce Stockton, CFI’s Vice President of Maintenance stated, “XM’s ability to provide our drivers with current traffic and weather updates elevates our Safety program to yet another level while transporting our customers product across North America. The entertainment value is unmatched by any system available, and we believe it will be a positive factor in truck driver recruiting and retaining personnel.
