CONTINENTAL EXPRESS DRIVER REACHES DRIVING MILESTONE

Little Rock, Ark. (February 26, 2006) -- Ed Gifford, a Continental Express driver, has reached 1.9 million safe driving miles and is looking forward to hitting 2 million miles later this year.

“There’s no secret to safe driving,” say Gifford who has driven professionally since 1979, the last thirteen with Continental. “After you’ve driven for awhile, you kind of get a sixth sense about what people tend to do on the road and how to avoid tricky situations. You just have to pay attention and be aware. It doesn’t hurt to be lucky. I’m a big fan of good luck.”

That’s not the only thing Gifford is a fan of. In 2000, Gifford was voted the #1 fan of the Tennessee Titans by Visa which runs an annual contest to find the ultimate NFL fans. “I live in Houston and have been a fan of the Oilers forever. When they moved to Tennessee, I got my PSLs to Titan games. I’ve never missed a game. That really says something about Continental too,” he says. “I show my driver manager the football schedule at the beginning of the season and we make sure I can get to the games. Not too many companies would do that.”
