BARR-NUNN TRANSPORTATION LENDS A HAND TO ‘AMERICA SUPPORTS YOU’ PROGRAM

When the America Supports You program received a donation of $3.4 million dollars of products from bookselling giant Barnes and Noble, the Department of Defense organization was overcome with excitement. A donation of over 300,000 items earmarked for use by military families was cause for celebration. As soon as the excitement of the moment wore off, ASY realized they were headed for a logistics nightmare. How could they possibly remove the product from a warehouse in Memphis, TN within a matter of 3-4 days as required? ASY with help from Y3K Grafix Trailer Wrap program went to work assembling a team of outstanding companies to handle the logistics of the operation.

Under the direction of former Marine and Y3KGrafix Vice President Tony Rosenbum, the ASY Trailer Wrap Corporate Partner Network moved 22 trailer loads of product away from the Barnes and Noble warehouse. Barr-Nunn Transportation, a Granger, Iowa based company was instrumental in the entire operation. Along with other ASY Trailer Wrap corporate partners, the donation was a success from start to finish. A press conference was held recently at Andrews Air Force Base to recognize Barnes and Noble for their donation and to thank all the partners in the program. Barr-Nunn Transportation supplied the press conference with an ASY trailer wrap display for the event.

Barr-Nunn's President Rene Beacom was honored to be a part of the event. "We are very honored to be able to participate in the "America Supports You" program. Members of our Armed Forces, their families and loved ones all have the support and respect of a grateful nation and we are proud to be able to help show that support." Barr-Nunn Transportation driver, Jim Pardoe participated in the event. "I was honored to be selected to be a part of this operation. I really enjoyed participating in the press conference at Andrews Air Force Base." Without the help of Barr-Nunn Transportation and other ASY Trailer Wrap partners, the gift to the men and women of the military may not have been possible.
