Paschall Truck Lines Announces February Awards

Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) congratulates the February 2005 Company Driver and Owner Operator of the Month. Douglas Apato is the Company Driver of the Month and Mark Hatfield is the Owner Operator of the Month.

Apato has been a professional driver for 25 years. Fourteen of these years were with PTL. In addition to this award, he was named Company Driver of the Month five times and was awarded Driver of the Year for 1999.

While on the road, Apato enjoys seeing the different parts of the country and meeting new people while driving. He always appreciates other drivers helping him when he is unsure of how to do something. Apato says the best part of being a truck driver is “not having someone looking over your shoulder at your work.”

At home, Apato enjoys spending time with his wife of 17 years, Nancy. They have three children: Josh, Matthew and Zachary. Apato also enjoys fishing and doing yard work.

A professional driver for eight years, Hatfield has partnered with PTL for the last three years. In addition to this award, Hatfield earned 400,000 safe driving miles at PTL.

What Hatfield enjoys most about his truck driving job is meeting customers and other drivers along his routes. In fact, he says that meeting interesting people is the best part about being a truck driver.

Away from work, Hatfield spends time at his home in Kentucky. There, he enjoys farming.
