Jefferson City, Missouri — The Missouri Motor Carrier’s Association recently named Mr. Robert Conger Missouri’s Driver of the Month for June 2006. Mr. Conger, of Enosburg, Vermont, was selected for this award by representatives of the U.S. Department of Transportation, the State Highway Patrol, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Division of Highway Safety from nominations submitted by a number of other companies.
Mr. Conger, who is married with three children, is currently a contractor with the Missouri-based carrier, Prime Inc. He has been with Prime for eight years, following approximately 21 years of driving with other companies. Remarkably, throughout his many years — and nearly four million miles — on the road, Mr. Conger has never been involved in an accident. Mr. Conger has received Prime’s annual safe driving award every year since he first joined Prime in 1997. Prime also named him Contractor of the Year in 2000.
Mr. Conger’s meticulous attention to safety played a
significant part in his nomination as Missouri’s Driver of
the Month. Mr. Conger was also nominated for his positive attitude,
thorough knowledge of the field, and skillful operation and
maintenance of his equipment.
The Missouri Motor Carriers Association will honor Mr. Conger at
their safety luncheon, where he will receive a “Driver of the
Month” winner’s certificate and an engraved watch.
