Comcar Industries, Inc. Announces Establishment of Midwest Coast Transport and Willis Shaw Express Strategic Alliance
Auburndale, FL - Mark Bostick, president and chief executive officer of Comcar Industries, is pleased to announce the creation of a Strategic Alliance between Midwest Coast Transport, Inc. (MCT) and Willis Shaw Express, Inc. (WSE). This alliance will provide several key advantages that will further enhance both companies’ abilities to serve their customers, maximize the productivity of their drivers and improve operating efficiencies of both companies.
“The result of this alliance will be a stronger and more efficient operation that will be best able to compete in the temperature controlled segment of the transportation industry. By strategically sharing certain services and assets, we will be better positioned to meet our customers’ needs,” states Bostick.
MCT and WSE and their wholly owned subsidiaries/LLC’s will continue to operate independently under their current company names. Matt Staniszewski, president of MCT, will also serve as the president of WSE. Staniszewski is uniquely qualified to lead both organizations. He has an extensive sales, operations and logistics background, having served in a variety of key management roles for Comcar the past fifteen years. Staniszewski previously led WSE for two years prior to being named president of MCT in 2004. He brings a comprehensive knowledge of the temperature controlled business with a successful track record that includes dedicated services, private fleet conversions, inter-modal shipping and port operations. “I am greatly honored to have the opportunity to lead both of these fine organizations,” said Staniszewski. “I appreciate the strong foundation at WSE that has been built under Chris Kozak’s dedicated leadership.” Added Staniszewski, “Each company has a long, proud history in the trucking industry. I admire and respect the culture and traditions that each company brings to the marketplace and look forward to MCT and WSE expanding their position as service leaders in the temperature control segment of trucking.”
The sales and marketing efforts of both companies will be led by Dan Denhof. Denhof joined WSE as vice president of sales and marketing in March of this year. Denhof has twenty years of leadership experience in the transportation industry, including serving most recently as president of a Florida based temperature controlled trucking company. The logistics and brokerage efforts of the companies will be led by David Saylor. Saylor has recently joined the company as managing director of logistics. Saylor brings over twenty years of successful logistics management experience to the Comcar network of companies.
“Through this alliance we will be able to offer our customers the best solutions for their shipping needs. While doing so, our companies, our drivers and our independent contractor business partners will all benefit,” said Bostick. “It also positions both companies for outstanding growth potential, now and in the future.” Further updates regarding the MCT/WSE strategic alliance will be announced in the near future.
