Frank and Becky Shelton: Two of a Kind

Cedar Rapids, Iowa - For Frank and Becky Shelton, professional truck driving runs in the family. The couple went through CRST’s company sponsored training-contract school in Cedar Rapids, IA and earned their CDL Class A licenses together. Frank took an early departure from the corporate world, as did Becky from the healthcare field. Frank says, “The environment at CRST was perfect us, and the transition was more than easy after leaving the hustle and bustle of the corporate world.”

The Sheltons have enjoyed driving professionally for CRST Van Expedited for four years. By joining the company, they had a chance to pursue a career that interested both of them. “After the kids were grown, we had time to make a change from the everyday norm,” they state. Not only does the couple appreciate getting to spend so much time together, but they also enjoy traveling and seeing the country as they deliver their freight. The Shelton’s also run as an Owner Operator team. They have been leasing a truck from CRST Van Expedited for the past eleven months through the $0 down Lease Purchase Program.

Many factors influenced the Shelton’s’ decision to join CRST. The Shelton’s certainly do their part to make CRST proud. They have often rescued loads from other trucks that have broken down, and they are always there to lend a hand. “I have taken my clothes out of the dryer, still wet, just to deliver a load on time when another truck was unable to make it, “claims Frank. “You could say we do PR everywhere we go.” The couple does their best to spread the kindness they have been shown by CRST to other professional truck drivers.
